Physiotherapy helps aid the healing process to rehabilitate the spine and other parts of the body. Our office uses modalities such as heat therapy, cold therapy, intersegmental traction, electrical stimulation, and joint mobilization, along with therapeutic exercise, which includes stretching, strengthening, and postural modification to rehabilitate the spine and prevent re-injury. Our goal is to help the patient return to function as quickly as possible. This is attempted by reducing pain, increasing flexibility, restoring range of motion and function, building strength, and correcting posture.
Posture and spinal screenings can reveal important health information and unlock the door to improved health and well-being. We provide screenings at community events, health fairs and places of employment. Please contact our office and we will be happy to arrange a screening at your event or workplace.
Trigger points are uncontrolled muscle spasms, which cause referred pain to other areas of the body. These muscle spasms cause pain, decrease range of motion, and increase muscle weakness. Trigger point therapy is the act of decreasing these muscle spasms. The spasms are relieved by sustaining pressure over a short period of time. This type of therapy helps reduce chronic muscle spasms, avoid scar tissue formation, improve muscle tone, and increase range of motion.
